Rashmi & Manish

‘Love is like Travel, because it’s a heightened state of awareness, in which we are mindful, receptive, undimmed by familiarity and ready to be transformed. That is why the best trips, like the best love stories, never really end.’
Our couple here, Rashmi and Manish truly stand by this thought. Explorers at heart, they spend most of their time together hunting for and discussing their next holiday destination. When Rashmi came up to me with the shoot discussion, I straight away knew we had a mammoth task ahead. 3 costume changes with 3 location changes and all to be done in a single day! But as the day dawned we got into the flow, and Voila!, we managed all the segments very well.
Look 1 was an ice-breaker of sorts and hence I decided to put them in their comfort zone – the beach. And it did work wonders. Manish also used this opportunity to formally propose Rashmi. This one was truly a special moment for Rashmi and Manish. All along their 4 years of courtship, there was never a formal proposal that came by. This pre-wedding shoot gave Manish the perfect stage to profess those unsaid words. All the planning was done by Manish and Me before the shoot day and we caught Rashmi unaware as Manish went down on his knees suddenly in between a shot. Capturing this part was one of my best memories at the shoot.
Look 2 was at the Kanheri caves with the couple going traditional. The lovely rock sculptures blended beautifully with their Indian attire.
Finally the look 3 was a take-off on a typical Goan wedding day. Their mutual love for Goa was portrayed with the classic white dress and tuxedo look by the couple and our Mahim Koliwada added to the backdrop. Not to forget the picturesque sunset we got that day.
All in all, though a bit tedious, the love and energy that both Rashmi and Manish brought into the shoot was awesome and the pictures totally convey that. Hope you love what you see.
